Local Hawaii ingredients used with an international flair^BNanette^K^H (Gone but not forgotten) 1946-2020  Email: nanette@freerangegourmet.com Sunday, April 04, 2004Olive Oil Alert!Costco has premium extra virgin olive oil labeled with crop year (currently 2003), .5% acidity and Protected Geographic Indication from Tuscany that's quite good -- and the price is right. So this is to let you know that they have it now, but when it's gone.... it's gone.
Their Kirkland brand extra virgin olive oil was one of Lynne Rossetto Kasper's four bargain-priced picks and is our usual olive oil. So we buy a few of them when they are available. Nanette called me one day and said, "Pick up seven bottles on your way home." This doesn't mean Nanette won't use another brand from time to time, but this is the one I usually see her using. So be warned -- it's there today but could be gone tomorrow.
